新增1篇500字的关于申请人生活经历的文书:

Princeton values community and encourages students, faculty, staff and leadership to engage in respectful conversations that can expand their perspectives and challenge their ideas and beliefs. As a prospective member of this community, reflect on how your lived experiences will impact the conversations you will have in the classroom, the dining hall or other campus spaces. What lessons have you learned in life thus far? What will your classmates learn from you? In short, how has your lived experience shaped you?  (Please respond in 500 words or fewer.)

1、Harvard has long recognized the importance of enrolling a diverse student body. How will the life experiences that shape who you are today enable you to contribute to Harvard?

文书题目的改革引发了大众的激烈讨论,哈佛校报专门发布了一篇名为《哈佛大学在平权行动决定后彻底改革大学申请》的文章,指出哈佛官方针对最高法院可接受做法的配合及调整,即弱化种族因素,强调个人经历。

哈佛大学的发言人表示:“作为本科招生过程的一部分,一篇可选文书被五篇必需的短文书取代,以便为每个学生提供反思和分享他们的生活经历、学术和课外活动如何塑造他们、他们将如何与他人互动的机会。”

 

耶鲁大学

耶鲁大学的附加文书分为简答题(Short Answer Questions)和必答文书(Essays)两部分。今年的题目也发生了一些改变:

  • 简答题第二题和第三题更换了新的题目。

  • 必答文书第一道题目和第二道题目发生了细微的改变,新增了第三题。

简答题:

耶鲁大学针对不同的申请平台有不同的文书要求。首先,对所有平台的申请者,都需回答的问题有3个:

1、Students at Yale have time to explore their academic interests before committing to one or more major fields of study. Many students either modify their original academic direction or change their minds entirely. As of this moment, what academic areas seem to fit your interests or goals most comfortably? Please indicate up to three from the list provided.

1、Reflect on a time you discussed an issue important to you with someone holding an opposing view. Why did you find the experience meaningful?

 2、Reflect on your membership in a community to which you feel connected. Why is this community meaningful to you? You may define community however you like.

In the aftermath of the U.S. Civil War, Ezra Cornell wrote, "I would found an institution where any person can find instruction in any study." For over 150 years, Cornell University has remained deeply committed to Ezra’s vision. Explain how your life experiences will help inform your contributions to a learning community devoted to “... any person … any study.” We encourage you to think broadly about your life experiences, including how local (e.g., family, school, neighborhood) or global communities you’ve been part of have helped shape your perspective.

Students entering Brown often find that making their home on College Hill naturally invites reflection on where they came from. Share how an aspect of your growing up has inspired or challenged you, and what unique contributions this might allow you to make to the Brown community.

It is important to us, therefore, to understand an applicant's ability to navigate through adversity. Please describe a barrier or obstacle you have faced and discuss the personal qualities, skills or insights you have developed as a result. (150 words or fewer)

Dartmouth celebrates the ways in which its profound sense of place informs its profound sense of purpose. As you seek admission to Dartmouth's Class of 2027, what aspects of the College's academic program, community, or campus environment attract your interest? In short, Why Dartmouth?
